Lamanby at Carlisle & Durham Book Festivals

Jacob is delighted to be appearing as Festival Laureate at this years Durham Book Festival. He will also be showcasing his work Lamanby at Durham, Newcastle, Norwich and at Carlisle’s Borderlines Book Festival in October 2018.

Lamanby is his extraordinary drama of a childhood house that becomes the site of an alternative personal history and dream-vision of boyhood and the North of England.

Based on the award-winning collection of poems, Jackself, Lamanby resonates with voices, monsters and music, telling a story charged with strangeness and poetry. With remarkable music and soundscapes created by John Alder, filming by Ian Fenton, and direction from Tess Denman-Cleaver, Lamanby movingly explores how we might hold on to what matters.
